DIY Leaf Crown!

I love gold leaf crowns!! Every time I see one I want to snatch it up for photoshoots. They're so elegant and pretty. Yesterday at the craft store with my friend I found this little piece of sparkly foliage and I thought it would be perfect for a crown!

This branch of leaves is a goldish-silverish color that I really love. It was on sale for $3 and I could get three crowns out of it, so that's a pretty sweet deal! Of course they had other colors, too. And you could probably find something similar at the dollar store?

As far as assembly, this could not be easier. Cut and glue! Yay!

  • Snip off about 6-8 little leafy guys, leaving a little stem.


  • Add hot glue to the stem of one leaf branch.


  • Then press the top of another leaf onto the glue, overlapping slightly. Repeat for other leaves.


  • When your leaf garland is large enough to wrap around your head, glue the ends together.

That's it! Wasn't that so easy?!

P.S. I almost forgot! Paige made me PROMISE to include these last two photos of her. She thought they were hilarious, and she wanted to make you laugh. :O) Silly kid.

    Wow, that's a great idea. I love leaf and flower crowns. This one that you made was so easy and delicate. I loved it.
