Happy Day 17: Old Mittens/Old Friends!
Last Autumn I did a couple of projects for Fresh Style magazine's website launch and one of them was this butterfly sweater that I made from a plain cardigan and a single mitten. I only had a couple of days to create/shoot the project and I was heading out of town when they asked, so I was a little panicked, but it worked out great because I was able to shoot it at my dear friend's house (which is gorgeous, aren't you jealous of that sofa??) using one of her adorable daughters as a model.
This is a very special friend, one that I've had since I was about 5 or 6. Her name is Paige! ;O) She is simply one of the loveliest and most beautiful persons on the whole wide world and I absolutely cherish her. I wish I could find the photo I have somewhere of the two of us when we were awkward looking little girls. Well, ok, I was awkward looking...she's always been stunning! And so sweet and warm and generous. The kind of person who leaves you wanting to be a better person. She makes me happy! :o) I'm so grateful to have her as a friend. Thanks, Paige!
You can see the whole project and get the how-to on Fresh Style website. And also check out my other project: a velvet and fern table runner!

Where is that moose head from?? I love it!
ReplyDeleteAfter I had been eyeing it for a year or two, my husband surprised me with the moose head as an anniversary gift. (He knows me so well! Forget about flowers, give me a moose head.) It came from Zgallerie.
DeleteYour project is adorable! And your friend and her daughter are stunning. But I need the details on that moose head and couch!!
ReplyDeleteThe moose head came from Zgallerie (http://www.zgallerie.com/), and the couch is from Area 51 in Seattle. It's their Reverie Sofa in Lagoon.
DeleteThank you so much! Your house is adorable and your daughters are so precious!
DeleteDisney, you are too sweet! It was so nice to visit with you and Jovie LOVES the sweater and feels so special that she got to be your model.
ReplyDeleteVisiting with you guys was the best, I hope we can again soon! And thank you for answering the questions about your gorgeous room. :)
