Ahem, Ahem! (A fun announcement!)

I teased you a little on Saturday (sorry!) by telling you that I had some good news/bad news to share today, so here it is!

Bad news first, just to get it out of the way: For the next couple of months, things might be a little more sparse on the blog even than they are now. I feel really badly about that because I love talking to and sharing with you guys, but unfortunately I'm only human and I just don't have time to do everything I want to! :o/

But the reason why (here's the good news!!) is that...

Yay!! Ohhh friends, if you even knew how much of a dream come true this is for me. Part of me didn't really even believe it until I got the signed contract in the mail and I kind of went "Whoa." This kind of thing doesn't happen to me! People like me don't write books! Smart people, amazing people, fancy people write books. Not goofy little girls from small towns who are still in their twenties. Part of me is a little confused by it.

But writing a book has been something I've been desiring and praying for almost since I first started blogging. Of course, I thought that God would grant that blessing "someday", I thought it would be a pinnacle for me that I would reach much later in life. Yet here it is already! I thought I understood God's generosity, but now I'm starting to think that I only know the half of it.

I'm crazy excited, but a little scared also. I want to do the best job I possibly can, create something that you guys will really love and find useful. I want to make you happy! So I'm going to be working my tail-feathers off on that very task, and I'll be thinking of you as I work. I am the photographer as well as the author, so it's quite a workload for me, but I'm having a blast with it so far. I already can't wait for you to see it! Although, a book takes a good deal of time to create and distribute, so it won't be available until next year sometime.

So that's where I'll be, if you don't see me quite as much as usual. :O) However, once the bulk of the book work is done I plan to have a fuller blog schedule than I have been keeping, so hopefully that will make up for lost time together.

P.S. You know what I thought of though when I first fully realized I was getting to write a book? (Other than "don't pee your pants, don't pee your pants") It was you guys! I really hope that when you see what I'm getting to do that it gives you confidence in your own abilities and possibilities. If I can have my little dream come true, anyone can! Start small, work hard, keep working at it and pray with faith. You can do it!
