Paige Crafts Four: Embellished Glasses for New Year's...or whenever!

Welcome to Paige crafts number four!
Paige has named today's project: "Glitter Glasses and Feathers (and Sequins)", which I think is appropriate. We both had fun with this one! And we thought they would be fun for a New Year's party!

(If you're new in town, "Paige Crafts" is where, well, Paige crafts things. And then blogs about it.)

Embellishing glasses is so fun, and we probably could have gone on forever creating different versions if we hadn't run out of glasses. By the way, we got all of our glasses at the dollar store and popped the cheap-o lenses right out. In case you're wondering where to get them!

And here is Paige in her own words (with Mommy in Blue) to introduce the project and explain how it works!

"Glitter glasses and Feathers (and Sequins)"
By Paige

"Hello everybody, my name is paige! You know, the one who did the stitching, right?"
And, um, I made some glasses, they had feathers and sequins (those were the fabulous ones) and there were also ones with glitter: gold glitter, pink glitter and...I don't know, kind of like silver glitter? And it was so beautiful, I kind of liked it. One of my ideas was flowers, it was so pretty and I was thinking you would like to do flowers and stuff if you want.

First you glue the glasses with the glue stick, then you put on the stuffies that I told you about (glitter) on the glasses. And then you put the (clear) nail polish on and let them dry and it is fabulous!

I hope you have a very nice time doing it, it was so fun. You might have to use the very hot glue stick, or whatever it's called, then you glue them on. It was so fabulous, I hope you have a nice day. Thank you! I love you.
Love, paige

Can I just say how much I love the way this girl talks? I mean, how many times can you say "fabulous" in three paragraphs? Kids are the best.

And speaking of fabulous glasses, check out this awesomeness! Linz at That's So Cuegly turned her daughter's crazy orange glasses into these posh little leopard print frames using nail polish! Love it! Click the photo to go to her tutorial. (I WANT SOME FOR ME!!)

Have fun! And as always, feel free to leave a comments for Paige. I always read them all to her. :O)

Have a great weekend!!

Love,
Disney and Paige

  4. Paige! Those glasses are bombdiggity! ;) Way to go, girl. Glitter and Sparkle are my very favorite things. I may have to give some of my old sunglasses a makeover. I have a collection of them, you see, and some of them could use a new look! ;) (and Disney, you were quite right, these would be adorbs for a New Year party) :D

  10. Thanks, Paige. Love your "new" glasses - esp the large hot pink and gold glittery ones. I'm way older than you - even my grands are older than you - but I know some of the girls would really go for these (me, too, in fact). Might whip us all up a pair for NY Eve. Or maybe have a "glasses decorating" party early in the evening before everyone heads to their favorite party place. Have a great New Year! Dana @ Austin, Texas
