My New Space! (Is Coming)
So we have this storage room in our basement next to the man cave. It's an average-sized room, but kind of unfinished and not too much to look at. And it was also full of stuff. Ours, my parents', some friends'. It was pretty full!
But my husband had the sweet idea to turn it into a sewing studio for me! And not only was he sweet enough to think of it, but he hauled all the stuff out himself and has done most of the work so far. Amazing. (Lucky for me, I've been sick *cough cough* so I got out of most the work!)
I thought I'd show you a "before" so you can be all impressed with the "after"! Although, it won't be as fancy as most remodels. :o) I'm mostly just using on-hand stuff (yay for thriftiness!), but hopefully it will turn out cute! I'm excited!!
See you soon!
Love,
Disney
How exciting, Disney. Can't wait to see your new studio.
ReplyDeleteYay for a remodel in realistic spaces. I always get discouraged when I see these huge, fancy craft rooms. I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way. I went to Pinterest for inspiration and came away feeling...a little hopeless, actually. But! I'll just have to rise to the occasion. :o)
DeleteThat's awesome!! I know you'll decorate it uber cute. Can't wait to see the finished results...watch out HGTV (^_^)
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I'm sure it will look awesome. I love that you put together REAL rooms, not something that looks like it came out of Martha Stewart Living. It makes me feel like I can do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThat is just the nicest thing you could have said. Thank you!
DeleteHow could it not be cute? You are incredible at putting together 'on-hand' stuff and making it look good. I'm looking forward to seeing the makeover. =)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't work in one of those clinical look sewing rooms, where you would be too scared to drop a thread. Can't wait to see your unveiling - a sewing room pulled together with luv and character will have my vote any day...
ReplyDeleteMade By J
True story! I'm like a tornado when I sew/craft. :O)

ReplyDeleteSo exciting! It will be incredible.
ReplyDeleteHappy for you!! I LOVE those green floors! You shouldn't change those!! The green will look so cute with all of your pink!
ReplyDeleteSoooooo much potential! I wish we had a basement. I keep trying to persuade my hubby that we should build a granny flat in the backyard as an office...so far no luck!
ReplyDeletewow, SO much potential! I can't wait to see what you do with it! Everything you touch turns to gold! (and pink)
ReplyDeleteLucky you. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
ReplyDeleteThats a really nice place you have! :) It really has potential! I'm looking forward to see it done! I also have done the whole house and all by thrifting, i have just postet our new pink and dotted pantry :)) Maybe you would like to see it?
ReplyDeleteLove,

Beautiful, Carmen! And what a coincidence, I was thinking about doing the same thing in my studio with a little larger dots. Cute, cute!!
