Shots from OR
I'm home!
The weekend trip to OR was crazy, but I managed to snap a few photos on my iphone. So you can feel like we were together. :o)
My grandparents:
(My grandpa made this table-and gave it to me this weekend! It has my a painting of my great-grandmother on the top)
My brother explaining...something beyond my intelligence over pizza.
One thing I didn't get a snapshot of was the reader I bumped into in Costco! I fee awful, because I didn't even get your name. So if you're reading this Costco reader, it was so great to meet you!!
I'm so happy to be home. And thank you for all your prayers. We're still not sure what will happen as far as her surgery.
I will see you tomorrow, because I have to share the amazingly sweet thing my husband did for my birthday. You won't believe it!
Have a great Tuesday!
Love,
Disney
So fun to see your adventures in my part of the world! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! That one of you in the bun & skirt from the back with Paige in the front is so perfect - I hope you hang it up in your home somewhere. And the processing make it looks like its a dream. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to spend some time with your grandparents. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos.
ReplyDeletethese are so pretty. a beautiful dose of time away visiting loved ones. thank you!
ReplyDeleteHood River, yayyy! We drive out there every once in a while. We live in Portland :) Nice little place.

Nice shots! I especially love the train track ones!
ReplyDeleteOh my GOODNESS! Do your grandparents live in Hood River?! I'm from White Salmon (right across the river), but am currently living in Philadelphia, so I always get my Gorge fix when you post travel posts :D
ReplyDeleteThey used to live there, but now they're a little further south. I love Hood River so much! I could spend my whole life there.
DeleteI haven't seen a Pietro's Pizza in YEARS! Your trip looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWe always stop when we go through. They have gluten-free!
DeleteI'm jealous! :)
DeleteBut of course the Mosbrucker name is from White Salmon! I used to live in Trout Lake (20 miles closer to Mt Adams) and currently live in Goldendale. I KNEW you'd been in The Gorge as soon as I saw your children peeking around the stones at Stonehenge and the view of you looking down at Maryhill. How exciting to find a blogger that actually KNOWS where my out-of-the-way corner of the world is !! And then a fellow commenter that also once lived in the area! How small the world is!!
ReplyDeleteAs the Grandma whose Grands are growing up all too quickly, how nice that you stopped to visit with yours. I know they will always treasure your visit. And that table Grandpa made you--please count it among your most cherished possessions!
Oops! Went back for another peek at the photos and that IS you peeking around the one stone! See how young you look !!
ReplyDeleteOh! That's me! I'm the Costco person! I'm famous now! I'm famous! My name is Kristina! I'm so famous! :)
ReplyDeleteThe pentagram and the golden rectangle! We have the Mathmagicland VHS tape of Donald Duck "learning" about math! My 3-year-old daughter and I both love it!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are so pretty! Looks like you guys had a great time.

Fractals and the golden ratio... perfect! {your brother's photo- right?!) Love those! (but I am a math teacher geek!) : )
ReplyDeleteOh goodness...If only I knew! I am the complete opposite of a math teacher geek. Math makes me want to hide in my closet. :o)
DeleteKristina: (For some reason it won't let me reply to your comment.) I was so thrilled to meet you!! I'm sorry I didn't ask for your name at the time, I felt so bad. Here's hoping we run into each other down there again someday!
ReplyDeleteOh my what lovely photos. Glad you had a great time visiting your grandmother. Best wishes to her for surgery. I grew up in Oregon, so this brings back memories. Thanks for sharing and making me feel like I was with you there. Heheheeheee!
ReplyDelete...always fun to see one of my favorite bloggers in my neck of the woods! (and a surprise!) Hope you enjoyed the Gorge!!......c.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Felt like I was flipping through a magazine. LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteOh, the Fibonacci series! My 10yo boy did a school project on that. It's the pattern much of nature resonates to- awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteI stumbled on your blog from Pinterest today. I love it!!!
