"Mommy and Paige" A Story For My Punkin

Every night, right before I go to bed, I sneak into Paige's room, stare at her for a few moments, give her kisses and tell her how much I love her. As I was going through that little nightly ritual earlier this month, it struck me as quite hilarious that even though I spend seemingly every breathing moment with this little girl during the day, I still miss her so much her after she's gone to bed that I have to tip-toe in and see her once more before I go to sleep. She just absolutely owns my heart.  Anyway, that night I thought of making up a little story about it, and now it's finally finished! 

I wanted to share it with you guys, too. :o) I hope you enjoy it!

There it is! :o)
I'm looking forward to getting it bound somewhere one of these days. Every page documents real-life Paige-isms and I think it will be something fun for her to keep and look back on her childhood.
I know I promised a how-to for those of you who have Photoshop and would like to make something similar, and I will have that up soon!

    That's beautiful, Disney! I think it's beautiful how much you love your little girl, and it's easy to see she loves you just as much. Your illustrations are pretty good too! The give your book a very warm, personal touch - from the heart.

    This is the best thing ever. I did something similar for my daughter with my favorite pictures of her first couple years. She still loves to look at it.

    Print it through BLURB. They are the best and have lots of different sizes. I as a photographer have printed many affordable books through them.

    That is seriously an amazing book, Disney! The drawings are wonderful, it is FUNNY (the look on your face when Paige wakes you from your nap is hilarious), and the ending is so sweet!     ADORABLE! I especially love the helping in the craft room page, because that is exactly how i look most days. My crafts take place in the dining room, and my daughter doesn't "hear" the word NO. Much more "Put that down please" than crafting going on. lol

    So sweet. I especially love the look of "relaxation" on your face while in your craft room. I believe I furrow my brow in confusion more than smile and think "happy thoughts". Somehow the projects still get done and we come back for more. I am sure Paige will share this with her kiddos one day!

    Such an amazing story, and so sweet too! I had to laugh at the craft room page, my boys ripped the curtains down in mine too. And usually that's how I look after they have discovered a plastic bin of my fabric and empty it all out on the floor.

    Wonderful story and wonderfully done. If I were a publisher I'd want to publish it. I especially loved the bits of humor (like the 'really long naps' and how you and Paige wake up at the same time each day. And mommy and Paige in the craft room having fun.) Delightful.

    This is so cute! I think I might do something similar for my kids for Christmas this year.

    I just had a book printed through blurb.com and I thought they were awesome. The price was very reasonable and I am really happy with the result. I would definitely recommend them.

    Shucks! That made me a little teary. I would love to do something like that for my sons. What a blessed little girl to have a Mummy(Im Australian and that is how we spell Mommy)love her so much. I believe it is so so important to tell your children how loved they are. My parents weren't the openly expressing feelings type and it is such a shame. all people need to hear how they are loved. Im sure Paige will cherish it always. Thank you for sharing

    A cherished gift forever! Friends of my 18 yr old daughter found one they had done and bound that was about my son who was their school safety. It was so fun to look back! I have bound some photo books at snapfish, but had them printed locally(Walmart, Meijer and others)and the price is so much cheaper. There is a link right on their site to pick up vs ship.

    Oh goodness! As I was reading this, I kept thinking to myself how it could be the story of my little girl and me! Though she is just 3 and 1/2 so we are going to be trying home preschooling this year. I love finding other mommies that I can relate to. So often I feel that I am doing things so much differently than all of my friends and it gets me wondering if I am messing up my girl... Thank you so much for sharing!
