Bobby
I've been missing you all lately, sorry about the absence. A young man that my husband baptized last year went missing last week, and we've all been so worried, I just haven't had the heart to blog or be crafty.
Last night they found his body in the lake, and we are just heartbroken about it. There was alcohol involved, and they think he just fell in while walking along the lake. What a horrible accident.
Will you please say a prayer for Bobby's family and friends? I also want to pray for everyone who struggles with alcoholism. What a lot of beautiful lives it has stolen from us all.
Love,
Disney

ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry to hear about this tragic loss. My heart goes out to u and ur family. Death is very hard to deal with and leads us with so many questions. ReplyDeleteOh, poor Bobby's family!! Even with a firm knowledge of Christ and His eternal plan for families, it does not make the pain of missing someone lessen, nor should it. My heart breaks for his poor family... Much love to you and gratitude for your blog, and much compassion to this sweet family in their loss... and prayers.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your sadness.

I will certainly pray for Bobby's family and friends. What a tragic loss, I am so sorry. although I will def pray for the victims of alcoholism, being a recovered alcoholic myself, I have to say that just because poor bobby was found with alcohol, does not mean he was an alcoholic. Maybe there are other details you are not sharing, I don't know. But alcoholism is a disease and not everyone who drinks is plagued with it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence...my sister-in-law's brother (Bobby Scanlan) went missing around the same time for a few days and he was eventually found in the lake...he had been drinking very heavily with friends that night and couldn't swim so we think he probably passed out right by the water. This isn't the same baby is it?? Alcoholism has definitely taken away a lot of people...especially young ones :-(
