Shower Curtain Rings-A New Way!
Good morning! It is such a beautiful, sunny Washington day today. We had the most wonderful rain storm last night, and now it's sunny and bright and springy! What a lovely day.
:O)
Well, now that you've got my weather report, ahem, I want to share a quick, fun way to create a background for photos!
We've probably all nailed a sheet up before for a photos, (no? Oh...me either.) but instead of butchering our linens, I wanted to pass on these little lovelies:
Makes you want to have a photo shoot with your little punkins or something, huh?
So, I hope you've been well. I'm having rather a busy time in my life right now, but I hope to see you a little more regularly soon. I've just missed you terribly!
Have a great day, friend!

Shower curtain rings! Fun, right? You can find them all over the place, mine came from Lowes.
So find a place with nice lighting, you might have a spot in your house, or, like me, you could have a cave for a house, and need to use your outside roof edge or something. Then, discreetly hammer in about 5 or six nails so that you can hang the rings on them, and hang your sheet from the rings clamps. Instant interchangeable backdrop!
Like this:
And this!
And then you can have fun decorating your sheet if you want. I took apart a few different silk flowers and pinned them from the back to this white sheet:
So I could have photos that looked like this:

ReplyDeleteThanks for this great idea! This will make my photoshoots so much easier.
ReplyDelete(My sister used these clips with fabric she got from Ikea and it made instant no-sew curtains).
p.s. love your blog
What a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe miss you too!
Thanks Disney,
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea and I am also stealing it! I am hoping that is the point, right?
You are a genius! When I am taking photos of items I've been working on to post on my blog, I take whatever fabric I'm using and tape it to the wall. A LOT OF TAPE is involved!! This is such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Kind Regards,
Nicole
I'm using an old drape in the same way but I'm defintely stealing the idea of adding cute flowers to the backdrop

If you want to go even cheaper you can get just the clip part without the large ring at Joannes in the jewlery department. It's only a couple bucks for a big bag. I use them to make paci-clips and to hang a sheet over a window. Then you just need thumb tacks to hold the small hook. Easy peasy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post!
What a good idea! I usually just blur my unappealing backgrounds using the f stop, but I like this a lot.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I think those rings are pretty inexpensive at Ikea.

How in the heck did you get so many followers? I am a new follower thru GFC and would love a follow back. I am considering doing reviews and did not know they also look at followers on Facebook and Twitter so I need help in all three! However you choose to follow is great and if you need me to return the favor other than GFC, I will gladly help out anyway I can. Thanks so very much!

But anyway, have a great day! :)
