Update!
Hello! I thought you might be interested in an update since we've been even more absent that usual lately.
I've been busy! But not with crafting or blogging(obviously). With, you know, real life, real people, that kind of thing. I've been praying for more opportunities to serve others, and God has certainly answered that prayer. It feels good to be useful!
But I have sewn a few things that I'd love to share! Paige has a bin full of dress-up necklaces, tiaras and hats, but no dresses! So I borrowed a friend's princess dress and used it to make this one for Paige:
I also made these two in a larger size (because all her friends are a little older)
So she can play dress-up now! yay!! (Yes I'm living through my daughter...)
I've made a few other trinkets and gifts as well, but I only thought to take photos of these two:
(Really wanted to keep that black headband for myself!)
But the last two days Paige has had a fever and we've been spending them laying low.
What are we doing right this minute? Watching Cinderella on the other moniter.
Hello! (WARNING: No makeup!!)

Hope Paige feels better soon! I LOVE the dresses you've made!
ReplyDeleteHope your baby gets better soon. Did you make her quilt?
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you post every now and then . . . I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss your blog! Those dress-up clothes are gorgeous and I want some in my size ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's that time of year! My little man (20 months old) has pinkeye and an ear infection, as well as the cold symptoms. Luckily, as soon as we started his antibiotics he seems to be feeling almost-normal (with a little Horton Hears a Who added in). And no makeup? Ha! I JUST NOW finally showered and changed out of the clothes I have been wearing for 2 1/2 days - straight. I'm talking as pajamas and everything. (Okay okay, I may also have a cold, and be pregnant, but still, that's...ugh.) I hope Paige is feeling better soon and that you aren't going too stir-crazy!
ReplyDeleteSo good to have you post!
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed your blog, but just now following.
So glad you are doing God's work...nothing like it!
What beautiful little dresses! Paige is a lucky girl to have a crafty mom like you :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your little updates from time to time! Hope Paige feels better soon.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I stumbled upon your blog today. It has become my number one favorite, and I'm so glad you do what you do! You are such an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThe princess dress-up dresses are lovely! My daughter is always asking for a long, princess version of the skirts I've been making her but, so far, I haven't had the confidence to try. If you ever get time for a tutorial on dress up clothes I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love it!
ReplyDeleteHope Paige is feeling better. Best wishes.
I hope Paige feels better soon! My kids have both been sick lately, yesterday I took my son in for a crazy case of hives (covered all but half of his face, why one half of his face remained normal, I have no idea) and while there we found out he has RSV. (Not so fun)
ReplyDeleteThe princess dresses are fantastic!
So good to hear from you. Its like an old friend calling for a visit. Hope things go good.
ReplyDeleteLife does get busy and its ok not to blog as much as you use to. Things happen and right now you need to take care of your sweetie. Hope she feels better. Love the dresses, just darling! So much fun she will have in them!

Glad to hear from you . . . I loved the princess dresses . . . kinda wish I had my own. :) Can't wait to see the new upcoming tutorial. Hope Miss P gets feeling better soon. Also Glad to hear that you are being used by God to touch the lives of other people outside of the cyber world.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I hope your daughter is feeling better. Second, those princesses dresses are wonderful. My daughter has been asking me to make her one. Any tips? Third, I love the pink skirt with the headband!! Did you use a pattern and if so, would you mind sharing which one you used?
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing Disney, I lvoe those pretty dresses! God bless you, hope baby girl gets better soon. =)
ReplyDeleteStephanie: Thank you! I didn't use a pattern for the skirt, sorry, I just kind of winged it. As far as the dress-up dresses go, I was thinking about making a pattern for them, if anyone thinks that would be handy. They weren't difficult, I made all three in the same day. Hopefully I can get that done before too long!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog right before you threatened to leave. I still came to visit often because you have such beautiful ideas. I'm glad that you still come back to post!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the dresses and fun things you made. Your daughter looks adorable. Yay! Hope she feels better super soon.

I think you're absolutely brilliant! The point of me commenting is that you made me want to start a new blog, and I started it with talking about your blog! so thank you SO much. you are definitely an inspiration. My blog isn't quite as awesome as yours...but it will be one day :)
ReplyDeleteHi Disney, such beautiful dresses! I hope Paige is feeling better. I missed you!
ReplyDeleteThose dresses are so beautiful! My mom had a dresser drawer full of dress up clothes for me and that was my absolute favorite. She didn't make MY dress up clothes, but she did make tons of clothes (including a blue satin dress and faux fur coat) for my Cabbage Patch doll. I still treasure them.
