Hello :o)
I just wanted to take a moment to say "hi there!" to everyone this evening! I hope you guys are enjoying the last few bits of your weekend! Do you consider Sundays part of the weekend? Technically, it's the first day of the week, and even though it's by far my busiest day, it still feels like the weekend.
Anyway...
I also wanted to address a couple of things very quickly. The first being the "wad and roll" method that I mentioned (jokingly) in my last post. Several of you asked for a tutorial on it, and I'd love to give you one! The trouble is, it's not really a method at all. It's what I call it when I just wad up fabric randomly until it sort of resembles a flower. In this case I just sort of squished it first, and then rolled it up like a flat cinnamon roll (mmm, cinnamon rolls....all warm and gooey with cream cheese frosting....)
Um, so, sorry I couldn't be of more help with the roses I made! But there's what I know!
#2:
Thank you to everyone who sends me pictures/links to your Ruffles and Stuff inspired projects! It makes me so happy to see them! If you've sent me your link, and it's not up on the "you tried it!" page, then I probably lost it. I'm sorry! Sometimes, by the time I approve my comments I've forgotten which post you left your link on, and then I can't find it. :o( (For future reference, an email is much safer in that regard, but I understand if you don't always have the time!)
~
And because a post isn't a post without a picture or two; I leave you with a few that I took last week of Paige:
:o)
Don't you think it's so sad that little boys can't wear girls' clothing, but little girls look so cute in boys' clothing? Poor boys! :o( If I were a millionaire, I would create a line devoted solely to cute boy clothing.
I just found your site and am in absolute awe!! You create the most beautiful things! My uncraftiness is legendary, but I really dream of being able to create cute things for my little girl to wear. Anyway, I'm following your blog now and hoping maybe some of your creativity and ability will flow through the internet to me!
ReplyDeleteOo, I wish you were a millionaire too! My two little boys would look so cute in anything you designed. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, I just made a really, really cute dress (an upcycled/refashion) and I used the "wad and roll" method to make a really cute flower. I'll have to take a pic of it and send it your way, Thanks Disney!
Blessings,
Rebecca
She's an absolute doll.
ReplyDeleteThe life of a pastor's wife. *sigh* Takes one to know one. :) I've been selling big ol' flower hair accessories for little girls cuz I seriously just can't come up with enough creative stuff to do for boys!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your clothing line for boys! I know it will be super cute (Oops, I can't say cute, for boys, I must say "Cool". My boys correct me, if I say cute to them.) I had two boys first, but I hardly ever made clothes for them. I feel like I missed my chance now. I should have started blogging a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big Paige is! She is such a doll. Miss you guys!!!
ReplyDeleteIn Europe weeks start on Monday :)

ReplyDeleteAbout your Sunday question, I guess I'm kinda weird in that I don't really like Sundays and they sometimes feel even worse than Mondays. The anticipation of going back to work makes me sad and down all day so I can't relax and enjoy myself. I'm going to try to do better and enjoy today in honor of your post : )
please!! do create a line of clothing for boys, I would be delighted to see it!!!

Nicole

What a cute dress you made. Figure that idea works nice if the girl have a top too short. Please take a peek on my blog. I have posted a smart repurpose projekt a few days ago. Have a wonderful week. /linnea-maria
ReplyDeleteHahaha, it's cute how everybody wants you to do a little boys line :). Did you ever think you'd be an "internet sensation fashion (re)designer"?

You should redesign some clothes for your husband too!
